Data Collected

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you use the Website or submit any feedback or concerns, request customer support or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information we may collect includes Website usage or information you choose to provide.

We collect anonymous data from every visitor of the Website to monitor traffic and fix bugs. For example, we collect information like web requests, the data sent in response to such requests, the Internet Protocol address, the browser type, the browser language, and a timestamp for the request.

Use of the Data

When you use/access the SRAI Online Membership Portal, we collect the following categories of your personal/sensitive personal data: Your name, nationality, date of birth, place of birth, gender, e-mail address, permanent and mailing address, telephone number, password, your bank account number, Pan Number, Aadhar Card and other relevant financial information. Additionally, certain fields of personal data are requested on an optional/ non-mandatory basis. Such personal data is collected in order to maintain records of your participation as a stakeholder within SRAI, and in order to claim Royalty on your behalf and to Distribute such Royalty to you. “Royalty” refers to the royalty receivable by you under the Copyright Act 1957 (as amended in 2021) for the utilization of your works.

We do not share personal information that you have provided to us without your consent, unless:

Sharing of Data

We may disclose your personal/sensitive personal data to certain third party entities for processing, including Back Office Music Services. We use reputed cloud service providers to store your personal data on our behalf.

Additionally, we may disclose your personal information, without notice, where the disclosure is necessary for compliance of a legal obligation.

In most cases, we will secure your consent before transferring your personal data and/or sensitive personal data to third party entities. We may transfer your personal/sensitive personal data to any of these entities without your consent, if it is necessary for the performance of a lawful contract with you. While transferring your data. we will ensure that any such entity to whom the data is transferred ensures the level of data protection required under the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (“SPDI Rules”).

Your rights

You have specific legal rights granted under the SPDI Rules relating to the personal data we process about you. You may review the personal and/or sensitive personal data provided by you. You also have the right to correct/amend any personal and/or sensitive personal data found to be inaccurate or deficient. You can exercise these rights by writing to us at the email address provided below. We make reasonable efforts to keep personal/sensitive personal data in our possession or control which are used on an ongoing basis, accurate, complete, current and relevant, based on the most recent information available to us. However, we are not responsible for the authenticity of the personal data and/or sensitive personal data supplied by you.

Security of your Personal Information

SRAI has implemented reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and a comprehensive documented information security program and information security policies with adequate managerial, technical, operational and physical security control measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, use or disclosure. SRAI secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

Right to opt out/withdraw consent

You have the right to not provide us consent to collect your personal and/or sensitive personal data or withdraw such consent in the future by writing to us at the email address provided below. In that case, SRAI will have the option to not provide you with the services for which the said information was sought.
